Each year, World Mental Health Day reminds us that mental wellness matters at every age. For older adults, emotional health is essential to living well and aging safely at home. Yet many older adults face increased risks of isolation, which can affect mood, confidence and overall well-being.
At BoldAge PACE, we believe in caring for the whole person; mind, body and spirit. Loneliness among older adults is more than just a feeling. Research shows that prolonged isolation can increase the risk of depression, heart disease and even dementia. That is why community, connection and belonging are at the center of everything we do.

Creating a Sense of Belonging

Inside every BoldAge PACE center, you’ll find participants sharing stories, making crafts, enjoying meals and reconnecting with purpose. Our day centers are designed to be warm, social environments where people feel valued and understood. Transportation to and from the center ensures that everyone can stay engaged, active and supported.
Simple moments, like laughter at lunch, a birthday celebration or a favorite song during music therapy, often become some of the most powerful parts of care. These connections help lift spirits and remind participants that they are never alone.

Caring for the Mind and Spirit

Mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety can arise at any stage of life, especially when physical health or independence begins to change. BoldAge PACE takes a proactive approach to support mental wellness through our Integrated Behavioral Health Program, which began in New Jersey and is expanding nationwide. This program brings mental health specialists directly into our care teams, ensuring participants receive timely support, therapy and encouragement.

Compassion in Action

Our values, People First, Do the Right Thing, Seek to Understand, Exceed Expectations and Be Bold, guide every interaction. From nurses and social workers to drivers and activity coordinators, each team member plays a part in helping participants feel seen, heard and cared for.
When emotional wellness is supported, everything else improves. Older adults engage more with friends and family, participate in activities they love and experience greater overall health.

Your Health. Your Home. Your PACE.

This October, as we honor World Mental Health Day, we celebrate the simple truth that connection heals. At BoldAge PACE, we are committed to helping older adults stay socially connected and emotionally strong while living safely at home and within their communities.
